A Quick and Easy, Heathy Dessert: Baked Pears with Maple Yogurt

There is nothing to feel guilty about when eating this dessert. Find someone to make it for and watch them look at you with admiration. They look fancy but they’re not.

Ingredients

  • 2 pears, split and cored
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons real maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup each dried cherries, chocolate chips, and cashews

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Place split and cored pears in a glass dish with 4 tablespoons of water
  3. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes
  4. Mix maple syrup with yogurt and set aside
  5. After 20 minutes remove pears from oven and let cool 10 minutes
  6. Plate pears and scoop yogurt evenly into each pear
  7. Garnish with dried cherries. chocolate chips, and cashews
