5 Blogs for Memorial Day Grilling Ideas

With Memorial Day just a week away, it’s time to eat in the great outdoors. So dust off that grill and get out that picnic basket. Here are five blogs to follow for inspiration on the summer’s best eating.

A Family Feast

To kick off grilling season, Martha from A Family Feast has rounded up 30 Great Grilling Recipes from her fellow bloggers. She’s also got plenty of her own cookout-friendly recipes, such as Jack’s Potato Salad, Grilled Balsamic Peaches and Sesame Chicken Skewers with Sriracha-Soy Dipping Sauce.

Dad Cooks Dinner

Because Dad Cooks Dinner’s Mike puts a meal on the family table every night, he has a ton of fabulous recipes in his arsenal, many of them cooked over live fire. For our Memorial Day cookout, I’m eyeing the Plank-Grilled Rib-Eye Steak with Peppers and Onions, Grilled Chicago Char Dogs and Grilled Asparagus With Whole-Grain Mustard Vinaigrette.

The Galley Gourmet

To launch grilling season, Nicole from the Galley Gourmet cooked up these delicious looking Grilled Chicken Kebabs with Red Peppers and Red Onions. She also has several easy yet elegant dishes to show off your skills on the grill, such as Grilled Flank Steak with Chimichurri and Grilled Salmon with Lime Butter Sauce. And as soon as tomato season rolls around, don't forget to give her Grilled Panzanella salad a go.

Veg Kitchen

It’s not all about grilling in the summer months—picnics can be an even better excuse to eat in the great outdoors. Veg Kitchen offers up a post with nearly a dozen Vegan Picnic Treats for Spring, pulled from around the web. Some of the highlights include Shredded Kale Salad, Deconstructed Falafel Bowl and Raw Chocolate Raspberry Brownies. And there’s also a handy post with secrets to successful picnicking.

Foodie with Family

Foodie With Family’s Rebecca has a slew of tips and tricks for making grilling easy. Case in point? Her post on Spinach and Feta Turkey Burgers also includes info on how to keep turkey burgers from falling apart on the grill! She also has a lot of innovative ideas for grilled salads cooked, including Grilled Mexican Street Corn Salad and Grilled Summer Salads.
