David's favorite holiday recipe is Chinese Five-Spice Cookies.
He says on his blog: "These Chinese five-spice cookies are basically a sugar cookie with the addition of sweet Chinese spice powder, which can include ground star anise, cinnamon, ginger, fennel seeds, Szechuan peppercorns, and cloves. The cookies are the perfect accompaniment to tea. Because of their snappy, crisp texture, they can handle lots of dunking."
Editor's note: I love these cookies so much I took the picture. They taste like Christmas but different, and they really are good dunked. YUM. Sign up for the 12 Days of Cookies newsletter for cookies in your inbox! And come back to check out all the holiday treats in the 12 Days of Cookies series.
