Women made gains in the House as well, and CAWP reports that projections for the state of New Hampshire has women in all the top spots: Senate, House, and governor.

It was a historic night for Senator-elect Tammy Baldwin (D, WI) ; while same-sex marriage initiatives passed in Massachusetts and Maine.
Colorado and Washington passed initiatives legalizing marijuana for recreational use, while Oregon defeated a similar measure.
CO and WA made history tonight when they become the first U.S. states to regulate and tax marijuana like alcohol
Young Obama would have been so disappointed that old Obama can't celebrate Colorado's marijuana law.
