Just in case you’ve just crawled out from under a rock, you should be aware that Republican Presidential Nominee Mitt Romney seems to be running away with the Presidential race.
Since that fateful day in early October when the President failed to show up for the first debate in Denver, Romney has dominated the airwaves and the polls. The pundits and pollsters say that the reaction of the voters was triggered by the realization that Mitt Romney, contrary to the bitterly unflattering ads fronted by Team Obama suggesting that Romney was a disengaged capitalist monster who killed the wives of workers, turned out to be a quiet, friendly, capable man who was obviously NOT a monster. As a matter of fact, time after time Romney has out-presidential-ed the President himself. This signaled the end of Obama’s second-term dreams.
Now, there have been a few moments since Denver when Obama shone, but those glittering minutes have been continually overshadowed by the specter of the Libyan massacre of four American citizens. As time passes and we learn more and more about what happened on the ground in Benghazi, the President’s incompetence grows more difficult to ignore. Americans, who are now faced with a clear choice between a failed leader and a man who shows promise, will most likely choose to replace Obama. (Of course, it’s possible that Obama will choose to wag the dog and start a military action to prove himself to be a tough customer when it comes to terrorism in Libya. It would be reprehensible, but it’s not something his honor would prevent him from doing. He has no honor, after all.)
Even better, if you look at the polling data from an independent website called, aptly, unskewedpolls.com, you find that not only are Republicans likely to win the Presidency, they are also probably going to capture the majority in both the House of Representatives and the United States Senate. As if you’d need a cherry of the cake of this news, remember that the winner of the presidential race will probably nominate two justices to the Supreme Court in the course of his first term. Naturally, those conservative leaning justices would be promptly confirmed and take the bench. It’s a conservative’s dream come true.
If you’re one of those people who vote blue, you are probably wringing your hands and thinking of moving to Canada. Do not despair. The difference between Romney and Obama is, Romney is a man of honor who will keep his promises to all the people, not just his donors. Obama? Well, if you look at his promise-keeping record, I don’t need to say another word.
