Yesterday morning (bright and early), I had the pleasure of interviewing Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba. As one of BlogHer's resident reality TV editors, I jumped at the chance. And when I found out that the reason Carrie Ann was on this publicity tour was to promote an Animal Planet show about cats, well, that just sweetened the pot.
See, there are lots of shows all about the dog and love of the dog. But, you do realize, don't you, there are more pet cats in the U.S. than dogs. So it's nice to see the cat get a little attention on the show Housecat Housecall.
I was really intrigued by Carrie Ann's story: She's moving in with her boyfriend, and they each are bringing multiple cats into the household -- a regular feline Brady Bunch. Not only that, one of her cats, Taz, has kidney issues. My amazing geriatric kitty Samantha was diagnosed with chronic renal failure at the age of 16, and then lived until the age of 20, with a lot of attention and care from me (and a good vet).
We talk about all that and more in a mere five minutes. And P.S. I did ask her a juicy question about Dancing with the Stars, at the request of BlogHer Jennifer from Savor the Thyme. You'll have to watch to find out the question and the answer :)
