Urban Decay Naked Palette 3 ... What?

Let me begin by saying that I love Urban Decay. I love that they cater to the less “cookie cutter” clients, I love that they are vegan and cruelty-free, and I love the quality of their products.

That said, I should be thrilled that a third addition to the “Naked” line is rumored to come out but, honestly: How many more neutral shades do we have left out there? Not many ...

Naked 1 is a warm palette, full of metallic and shimmery colors all very suited to light to medium to slightly darker olive skin tone.

Naked 2 is a cooler palette with the red undertones and always a little more versatile for those of us with medium skin tone.

Naked Basics is a mini, matte palette with six shades to choose from.

I own all three of them, and by far I still love the original more. I love the texture of the packaging, I love the shimmer in the eye shadows, and yes, I love the bronze undertones present in the palette ... and to me it screams summer.

I find myself reaching for the other two less. I have a shade here and there that I like, but I wouldn’t pack them with me for a trip.

Now it’s Naked 3 time. What to say? I was hoping this palette was geared toward darker and warmer skin tones, but it appears to be the usual shade range -- making it unfortunately forgettable. The few pictures I was able to view were of champagne and peachy colors all already present is some shape or another in the predecessors, I really wished they had a darker range of natural colors. Then it could have been amazing; as it appears, you might not want to invest in it if you already own one or all the others.

If you are building your makeup bag, then take into consideration your skin tone before choosing. If you are a yellow undertone, go for the first one; if you are a red undertone, then go for number 2.

Urban Decay: If by any chance you see my blog, please give us a darker skin tone Naked!!!
