There's More to be Said: an Ode to Newtown

Lisa Nolan

Sadness, darkness
Where's the light
So young and innocent
So unimaginable
Purple rays, redness, hurt
Loud noises, screams, I want my mommy
Brave teachers
Heroes are our first responders
Fathers and mothers grieve
Grey sidewalk, running fast, hiding, where is it safe
Only Heaven
Such tragedy, such loss
Words so hard to come by
Sirens
Flashing lights
Souls damaged
Mental illness
Too easy to get a gun
Can't arm everybody
Can't arm children
Love is the best weapon
Love is red
Love is red
Love is red
