Review: Don’t Judge a Girl by Her Cover by Ally Carter

Goodreads summary box for Don't Judge a Girl by her Cover

Don’t Judge a Girl by Her Cover by Ally Carter is third book in the Gallagher Girl series, following Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy

People kept telling me to stick with this series, even though I didn’t like it as much as Ally Carter’s Heist Society series.  I’m so glad I did.  This book really picked up.  I felt like the drama was more exciting and real, the girls are coming into their own, and there is just a lot more depth in general.  In the first two books, which were still fun reads, the “spy stuff” the girls encountered was very shallow, and without real enemies.  In Don’t Judge a Girl by Her Cover we get some real enemies, some real mystery, and some real action.  It’s a lot more fun.  And such a great cliff hanger!

Before I might’ve been lukewarm about recommending this series, but now I’m way more into it.  It is just getting better and better.

I give it:
