Review: Accordance by Shelly Crane
As the story continues Maggie starts to realize how powerful she is, which is fun to discover. I like the role that she is playing here, and am looking forward to that developing through the rest of the series. I continued to enjoy how intoxicated Maggie and Caleb are with each other. There were also several other relationships under development that I find even more endearing.
This had the feel of a “transition book”. It wasn’t a lot of action (though there certainly was some), but we got a lot of information. There was back story, revelations, relationship development. I’m not mad at it all. And it really picks up towards the end and then leaves you with a “What the…?!?” cliff hanger. At this point I’d normally say, “I can’t wait to see what happens next!!” But let’s be real, I’m already half way through Defiance. This series has me hook, line, and sinker.
The only complaint is that, just like the first, it lacks in editing achievement. Don’t let that stop you from reading it, though. Give it a break for being a self published book, and enjoy the ride. Shelly Crane is a great indie author, and I’m looking forward to reading more from her.
