This song holds a lot of meaning for me for many reasons. My fiance and I tend to have pretty different taste in music and both tend to get territorial over the bands that we like. I remember him asking me what my favorite bands were when we started dating and I replied Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin (which is still true!) I'll never forget when he responded, "oh, I listened to them when I was like 15 but I'm over them now." I'm so passionate about these two bands that I'm surprised the relationship continued past this (sad, I know.) Anyway, I was surprised when Jason sent this song to me and said not only that he thought I would like it, but admitted that he liked it himself. I can also strongly relate to the lyrics of this song; I love the how self-aware the song is and how the lyrics portray someone that's wounded but determined.
To give you a little background, Fauxliage is a musical project composed of the Canadian electronic group Delirium and the vocals are by Leigh Nash of Sixpence None the Richer.
I hope you enjoy it!
