Embattled cycling star Lance Armstrong is planning a sit down with Oprah Winfrey.
According to a release posted on Winfrey's website Tuesday, the host will speak exclusively with Lance Armstrong in his first no-holds-barred interview. "Armstrong will address the alleged doping scandal, years of accusations of cheating, and charges of lying about the use of performance-enhancing drugs throughout his storied cycling career."

Despite pressure to confess to using PEDs, Armstrong had continuously denied he cheated, even though overwhelming evidence was discovered that contradicts his claims.
The Oprah appearance will mark Armstrong’s first interview since the seven-time Tour de France winner was stripped of his titles and dropped from millions of dollars in endorsement deals after the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency released an extensive report accusing the renown cyclist of doping throughout his career.
The interview follows a New York Times report that said Armstrong is considering a doping confession in an attempt to resume his competitive career.
The special 90-minute Thursday night episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter will air Thursday, January 17 on Winfrey’s cable network OWN. The interview will also be streamed live on Oprah.com.
This is a big get for Oprah - and both have a lot riding on the interview. Will you tune in?
