Blog Accessories.

5 years ago

Last week I found something out. I had tried to get this blog accessory before, but my extreme technological uningenuity got in the way err, the codes didn't work. So I gave up on it. Last week however, I got an e-mail from WordPress advertising a feature they had recently implemented as an option for WordPress Blogs. I pouted and decided I too would have that feature, on Blogger! (Oh and it's quite a long story as to why I'm receiving WordPress Blog e-mails, lets not go there.) So, on a whim I decided to look for the code again. And voila! the first code I tried worked. And so I'm sharing it with you because maybe you'd never seen it before, or like me was to lazy to find couldn't find the code. What is this feature? Well in case you haven't noticed yet, (on my personal blog) there have been a bunch of little snowflakes coming down onto this post. I think it's season appropriate, and I like. Now onto the code, on your layout page, click to add a gadget, then select html/javascript and add the code. S.i.m.p.l.e. Don't bother adding a title, it won't show up on your page.

Code to enter:

<script language="JavaScript" src="…">

If you don't like these particular snowflakes, let me give you the link to where I got the code from. They have to types of snowflakes, a better tutorial, and a little something for fall too. To bad I didn't find out about the leaves in time, oh well, perhaps next fall.

I promise I'll stop with the snowflake obsession (two paper snowflake tutorials, and now falling snowflakes), as soon as Abbotsford gets a real snowfall (I'm being optimistic that we'll have one this year).

Enjoy, and if you'd like, leave a link to the finished product!
