This week’s American Idol was lacking in so many areas. I just don’t have much to say about any of it. The contestants were mediocre aside from Aaron and Mark Gutiérrez. These brothers sang Lean on Me like angels from heaven. As a duet they were magnificent, so I guess we’ll assume they are the same individually as they did not sing separately.
Steven Tyler held his comments to himself concerning the young ladies; therefore viewers did not feel as though there was a pervert in the house. I admit there were times last week I think he did oogle a little too much but his vibrant, compassionate personality overrode the oogling for me.
For a lack of a better word “dull” is how I would describe Idol this week. I held my breath for another Lauren Alaina, or Chris Medina, however I got the air knocked out of my sail more than once by the sad performances that walked through the door over and over. So if it's the producers who decide what we see then I believe they need to step it up a notch for next week. What happened this week? I mean really is that all they could pull from Los Angeles?
Am I alone in this or does anyone else think this week was kind of a bomb?
I’ll wait and hope next week brings something exciting because Hollywood week begins Thursday. I love Hollywood week!
