How long has it been since you have had a great shopping experience? I mean a truly great experience. One that left you saying "Hey that was awesome! I think I'll come back here for sure!" Think about it.
Yesterday, I went shopping, well not so much shopping as it was returning something with intent to maybe buy something else. It was a perfume, Givenchy and it was a pretty smell. However, the Givenchy purfume did not like me, I am allergic. Nice, right? I returned the bottle and was given a gift card in return. I went to the Coach counter promptly got a new wallet that was on sale! 50% off , merry late Christmas to me. I had some money left over and realized that the compact I had mentioned in the previous post went caput. I actually found it in the bottom of my cosmetic drawer, and I go back to it like an old familiar friend. My Lacome fragarance free dual finish. Off I went to the Lancome counter.
I walked up to the counter and there was quite a bit of restyling of merchandise there. I was approached by a very nice lady. She asked if I needed help and my response was "I need a compact desperatley!" She asked what color I needed and I turned into a deer that was paralyzed by headlights. I mumbled the palest you have, naughty me had been wearing a shade too dark from her old familiar compact. She giggled and we walked over to the side of the counter where foundations are kept for testing.
There were all sorts of colors of foundations and powders. It was a kaliedescope of foundations. She then offered to color match the powders, and proceeded to ask what kind I normally wear. I told her about my long lost Clinique Clarifying powder and the oscillating powder. She informed me that had been discontinued, and for that I am greatful. The powder wasn't that great after all. She removed a small patch of make up and tested color. She found one but before she went and got it, she let me look at it to make sure I agreed. It was a perfect match.
She politley asked if there was anything else I needed and I felt comfortable enough to say liquid liner. We then got to talking about Art liner Lancome's liquid liner this stuff is amazing! Goes on so smooth and lasts! We talked about liquid versus pencil, which liquid has less pull on the lid.
We got to talking about all the other stuff and even got appointments set up for a spa event. It felt great to get such excellant service. It isn't that often you get that much anymore.I was pleased with amount of help and courtesy. She didn't hound me to let her take off all my make up and do new everything. She didn't pressure me to buy the whole counter up or apply for a store credit card(THANK GOD) for that I am greatful.
