The Two Horses Of Lady Gaga And How She Inspires Beyond Her Weird Wardrobe

Creativity is Lady Gaga's liberating ride. Her first horse is music, the other fashion.

The first exposure to Lady Gaga is like the first exposure to Picasso, when your vision was a classic world. Like Picasso, Lady Gaga opens a new perspective of the world.

An outrageous view for sure, but leading us to see things differently.

Everything is adopted by her to create grand but new and original performances.

“Whether it’s a dress made of Muppets or strategically placed bubbles, Gaga’s outré ensembles brought performance art into the mainstream” as written in 2009 “Entertainment Weekly”

Lady Gaga frees up her creativity in both music and fashion, in equal amounts. She derived passion for clothing from her Italian mother, who she stated was “always very well kept and beautiful”.

“When I’m writing music, I’m thinking about the clothes I want to wear on stage. It’s all about everything altogether—performance art, pop performance art, fashion. For me, it’s everything coming together and being a real story that will bring back the super-fan. I want to bring that back. I want the imagery to be so strong that fans will want to eat and taste and lick every part of us.”

Though the outrageous has become a trademark of Gaga’s clothing, her output can be a source of inspiration for your party outfit. Lady Gaga’s creativity is one to benefit from, not to dismiss. Time Magazine placed Gaga on their “All-Time 100 Fashion Icons List”

We are shown how to re-invent.

The outrageous can be used in many ways: colors, materials, shapes, contrast, perspective, size, tech, retro, modern, just to name a few possibilities.

Inspiration has helped student Helen Green from London to create portraits of Lady Gaga and illustrations of her weird and wonderful wardrobe, and to draw her attention. She has in fact been given a job on her fashion team, Haus of Gaga.
