Our small but perfectly formed winter break to Norway seems like ages ago already. On the Saturday morning we woke up to a snowy sunrise. I say we in the loosest term, it was Other Half who actually got up to photograph it whilst I tried to grab ten more minutes sleep. After breakfast and time spent layering on countless items of clothing.....
... we went outside into -14 temperatures to admire the scenery and gaze at what frost can do to a tree!
A quick train ride into Oslo and a large coffee later, we crossed to the waters edge to see the stunning new Opera House building. You can walk up the side of it onto the roof which had to be done, especially in the snow.
Although it proved a bit harder for little legs!
The view from the top of the semi frozen sea was more than worth it.
I think Oslo is up there on my list of favourite cities to visit, although the fact that we have lovely friends R and H with their Small Ones nearby has something to do with it.
I hope your Friday is a little less frozen but equally sunny!
