Pamper mom from head-to-toe this Mother’s Day, and support the Another for a Mother program from The Body Shop.
Earlier this week, I was invited to visit The Body Shop store in New York City to peruse, sniff and try their offerings for Mother’s Day. Long before I started writing about beauty and fashion, I was a big fan of The Body Shop. There’s something magical about those stores. Maybe it’s the way they smell, or the colors of the products, or….but when you walk into one, you’re immediately uplifted into a sunnier, happier mood. I used to walk in there, try everything (they have lots and lots of products you can test), buy a few things and walk out feeling like I could conquer the world.
If you’re a klutz like me, you’ll be happy to hear that The Body Shop has tons of pre-packaged gift sets that you can snag for mom. You can pick up mini gift sets, like the Coconut Mini Shower and Moisture Set for only $9. The set comes with 2 oz bottles of Coconut Shower Cream, Coconut Milk Body Lotionand an Ultra Fine White Bath Lily. Not a coconut fan? How about Satsuma, Moringa, Strawberry, Mango and more!
Look at all the summery, sunshine-y scents from The Body Shop! Just looking at the colors will make you and mom smile. How about a gift of grapefruit scented shower gel and body scrub? Perhaps skin-softening olive oil or uplifting peach?
Give mom the gift of skin care. Who doesn’t love a good anti-aging potion or moisturizer with sunscreen!
The Body Shop’s products are made with Fair Trade ingredients. The company works with 25 community fair traders from across the globe. When you pick up a lippie, a mascara or body spray, you’re helping a community. Speaking of helping, The Body Shop is supporting the Another for A Mother community values campaign. It benefits local charities where the Body Shop stores are located. If you’re buying a gift for mom, or picking something up for yourself, consider picking up something for the Another for a Mother campaign. That gift will go to a woman in need.
*The pr firm supplied me with a Mother's Day gift basket. I want to keep it for myself...sigh.
