Rida Kahn leaves Fashion TV to re-shape the Style Network.
Fashionistas listen up! Rida Kahn, Editor-In-Chief of The Zee Report and the CEO of Fashion TV, has left Fashion TV to become President of the Style Network Channel.
You remember Style TV, don't you? They had numerous shows showcasing designers and the creative process and audience faves like Jerseylicious, Big Rich Texas, How Do I Look, Tia and Tamara, and more. Then the channel was acquired by Hearst and Esquire. Things changed, and the public wasn't happy...putting it mildly.
Kahn has now bought the channel for an undisclosed amount, and plans to relaunch the Style Network(Whoo Hoo!) this coming October. Now you can look forward to lots of (pardon the pun) stylish shows this fall.
In a press release, Khan was quoted as saying, “It will be a mix of high-fashion and life style programming. There will be a lot of reality shows which will focus on the real heroes of the industry likeAnna Wintour, Nina Garcia, Ralph Lauren, Karl Lagerfeld, etc. and their day to day lives. Of course the programming will be very celebrity oriented but we will be dealing with the real Fashion Industry!”
Kahn created The Zee Report in 2008, the site reports on the goings-on within the fashion industry. The B-to-B publication, unlike others of the ilk, doesn't require paid subscription. Everyone and anyone can hop over there to get the lastest fashion news.
