You Won't Believe How Easy It Is To Make These Maxi Dresses

Warm weather has been slow to arrive to my corner of the world but it's finally here and I've started pulling out my warm weather clothes. The first thing I reached for was my maxi dresses. I love how they are even more comfortable than yoga pants (yes, really) but make me feel way fancier. I do sometimes have a hard time finding maxi dresses I really like in my local stores but it's okay. These bloggers have me covered with their tutorials for how to make your own maxi dress.

Easiest Maxi Dress Ever

Autumn was inspired by a dress she saw in a store to make her own "easy tee" maxi dress. I think I like hers even better than the original.

Maternity Maxi Dress

I simply adore this maternity maxi dress Ashley made. I want to send it to all my pregnant friends, but if you happen to just love it (like I do) you don't have to be pregnant to make one for yourself. It doesn't take long to make either!

Adults shouldn't have all the fun. This girl's bias maxi dress Melissa made is totally adorable.

One Hour Maxi Dress

While I suspect that it would take a less talented seamstress such as myself more than an hour to make Shannon's one hour maxi dress, I don't think it would really take me that much longer. And I kind of wish I'd known this before I bought a very similar dress that took two weeks to arrive. Darn it!

Melissa took elements from two different maxi dresses she made her daughter to make this fabulous girl's t-shirt maxi dress. I love the nautical waistband.

Lazy Saturday Maxi Dress

Tricia combined two of her existing patterns to make this lazy Saturday maxi dress. I like how she uses shirring to give the dress shape.

Do you love maxi dresses? Have you made one?
