I don't know about you ladies, but sometimes I'm just not in the mood for a fancy date night- but I'm still old fashioned enough to think that I should dress up because it's a DATE. (Grabbing take-out in sweats is not a date.) When asked on a date, please do me a favor and dress up. At least a little bit. If a guy is kind enough to take you to dinner or out in general, I've always thought it appropriate to make a little effort. That brings me to today's outfit. It's an upgrade to the "jeans and ponytail" that I usually sport when I'm in casual mode. I just bought this shirt from one of my favorite boutiques (they have online shopping too) and that pretty much decided what I was wearing that night.

Rule #1: new cuteness always tops old cuteness. If I get a new item, I'm not the girl that lets it sit in her closet with the tags on it for long. I FIND a reason to wear whatever it is. I mean, look how cute: 20131005_184949

RIGHT?!?! So I paired it with some dark skinny jeans (super inexpensive and a TON of stretch), my favorite cognac boots and was ready to go. And then I took a step outside and thought: "Nope! Too chilly!" Promptly ran inside and emerged with my favorite fall cover up- my trench/cape. I love saying "cape." I feel very fashion-meets-superhero when I wear it.

Regardless, I was pleased with the end result, and I was still warm and comfy.
