Darwins Theory of Evolution

There’s nothing more relieving than knowing that the tools to quickly manifest Darwins Theory of Evolution lies within my makeup bag.  I’m a do-it-yourself kind of girl and thrive off the satisfaction of tackling projects myself.  Even so, I must admit I was a little apprehensive at the thought of doing my own makeup for television appearances.

For day to day wear, normally my transformation gets as far as Step 2 before I’m calling it a wrap.  Step 4 I think it’s safe to say I only tamper with for special events. Regardless, I figured it’d be fun to share them all so you could pick how far in the transformation process you’d like to venture.

To achieve:

Step 1:  Just get out of bed, grab a camera and snap a picture of yourself. I like to keep things simple.

Step 2:  Moisturizer, primer, concealer and foundations. Yes “Foundations” plural. Don’t judge. Primer I feel is a must.. Aside from prolonging the wear of my foundation, it helps give a smoother application of the foundation too!  Mac Fix+ is used to set my foundation.

Step 3:  It’s all in the eyes. And all at your local convenience store. Yup- grab liquid eyeliner, eyebrow pencil and a box of lashes (don’t forget the glue!) and you’re all set.

Step 4: the grand finale. Blush and lipstick. I absolutely love blush. In fact, when it’s time to apply, I have to resist the fanatical urge to douse my cheeks with every shade of blush I ever purchased. If it’s a special event I’ll definitely do contouring as shown in the Step 4 photo.  Contouring consists of blush, bronzer and a luminizer. I apply the luminizer above my cheekbones as it helps accentuate the cheeks.

Again, for me, Step 4 is for major events such as television appearances.  See a live appearance with the DIY Step 4 in full effect here:  http://wreg.com/2013/09/23/woman-talks-about-her-time-in-a-cult/

Here’s a list of a few of the products but feel free to ask if there’s a particular item in which you wanted to know about:   Foundations:  Estee Lauder Double Wear Liquid Foundation; Estee Lauder Double Wear Powder Foundation.  Lashes:  Ardell Lashes #109   Bronzers:  tarte: hote heiress;  MAC- Give Me Sun! Blush: Clinique- 06Fig

Cheers!
