The Best Drugstore Beauty Buys

Think you have to spend a fortune at designer stores for quality beauty
products? Think again. Often overlooked, the drugstore is packed full of
products that perform just as well as their expensive counter parts.
Though it takes some experimenting, once you find products that work for
your body, you'll find yourself saving a ton of money! Today I'm sharing
a few of my favorite products for your skin, hair and makeup. I seem to
find the best prices at Target or Walmart versus smaller drugstores,
but if you live in a city you can also order online from these spots or
try which often runs promotions and sales.

  1. Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel, $7.99. Lately I've been hooked on using toner in the morning instead of face wash and this stuff smells great. You'll be amazed at how clean your skin feels after.

  2. St.Ives Apricot Scrub, $4.99. This invigorating scrub has been a standby since my high school days -- I like to use it once a week.

  3. Muslin Face Cloth, $5. I just discovered muslin face cloths, and my life has been changed! They work far better than your typical cotton washcloth, are reusable and are excellent for removing eye makeup.

  4. Olay Night of Olay Firming Cream, $5.59. There is a reason this little tub is known as a "classic." I use it in the winter when my skin gets dry and wake up with the softest skin.

  5. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream, $12.99. Neutrogena offers a great selection of budget-friendly anti-wrinkle products. I love this moisturizer and use it frequently!

  6. Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Roller, $10.39. This little roller is great for de-puffing tired eyes. I use it before my concealer if I'm feeling extra tired.

  7. Aquaphor Jar Healing Ointment, $14.29. This stuff works moisturizing wonders on everything from your lips to your cuticles.

  8. Up & Up Makeup Remover, $4.54. Hands down, this is my favorite eye makeup remover. I like it better than L'Oreal and the more expensive brands, plus it leaves the delicate skin around your eyes soft and moisturized without being greasy.

  9. Olay Advanced Cleansing System, $24.99. This vibrating tool rivals the popular Clarisonic, but I think it does the job for a fraction of the cost. I use it in the evenings three times a week, and it really removes makeup and exfoliates your skin.

  1. Johnson's No More Tangles, $3.69. I swear this works just as well as expensive leave-in conditioners and detanglers; I use it every time I get out of the shower.

  2. Conair Instant Heat Rollers, $22.99. There's no need to invest in expensive rollers -- they all do the same thing, and this set comes in a travel-friendly case.

  3. Coconut Oil, $10.99. This is a trick I picked up on Pinterest. I use coconut oil as a deep conditioner (just apply it to dry locks, clip up for an hour or two and wash) and as a lotion on dry skin.

  4. Swissco Comb, $2.99. No need to invest in expensive combs and brushes; they all do the same thing!

  5. Sally Hersberger Supreme Lift Root Boost & Heat Protector, $11.93. I tried this at a friend's and was instantly hooked. It smells wonderful and leaves your hair silky soft.

  6. Dove Invigorating Dry Shampoo, $4.49. Use this to skip a wash or to add texture to your hair when styling -- it smells great!

  7. Organix Coconut Conditioner, $6.99. I love all of the Organix brand products but especially this luscious coconut conditioner. Their Moroccan line rivals higher-priced options, too!

  8. Goody bobby pins, $10.99. These mini bobby pins are great for tucking away small hairs and for the perfect top knot -- they also come in a variety of colors!

  9. L'Oreal Elnett Satin hairspray, $14.99. Hands down the best hairspray -- it holds hair in place without being stiff.

  1. L'Oreal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream, $10.95. There are a plethora of BB creams on the market now, but this drugstore buy works wonders -- I use it daily instead of tinted moisturizer or foundation.

  2. Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Mascara, $5.99. I'm a self-proclaimed mascara snob. DiorShow stands to be my favorite, but if I'm out this, Maybelline does the job!

  3. Ardell Fashion Lashes, $13.23 for 4 sets. False lashes are my favorite trick for ultra glam eyes. I love to wear them for special events or girls nights.

  4. e.l.f. Studio Blush, $3. Don't let the cheap price scare you -- this blush is my go-to for a rosy flushed cheek. The pink looks bright but looks amazing on your skin.

  5. L'Oreal Studio Secrets Professional Magic Perfecting Base, $12.95. This primer works just as well as the big guys -- apply it before foundation or tinted moisturizer for flawless-looking skin.

  6. L'Oreal Colour Riche Balm, $7.99. This balmy lipstick is perfect for everyday wear.

  7. Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner Pencil, $6.79 I won't use any other eyeliner! This lasts all day and doesn't smudge.
