I have been getting Stitchfix for several months now, but somehow I never seem to get pictures done in time before I have to send back the items I didn't keep. I like taking pictures of myself in the clothes so you can see how they fit, but somehow I never get them done.
This time however, I did at least get pictures of the items, even if I am not wearing them (taking pictures of yourself takes WWWAAAAYYYY longer... unless you are super photogenic, which I am not). I'm going to try to do better next time, I promise!
Anywho, here's what came in my box! I've noted what I kept and what I sent back.
Mystree Hannah Striped Lace Detail Fit & Flare Dress (Medium)-- $68
As soon as I saw this dress, I thought it was adorable and completely my style, but my first thought was "I hope it fits." Dresses from Stitchfix have been very hit-or-miss for me and often don't fit. Unfortunately, this one was the same. I couldn't even get it zipped all the way.
I was so disappointed because it was so soft and comfortable. Plus navy stripes are pretty much a staple in my closet. But I sent it back since it didn't fit. I did go on Stitchfix and update my sizing a little for my next box, so I think the dress sizing issue will be rectified for the next go-around.
Mak Jaclynn 3/4 Sleeve Button-Up Cardigan (Medium)-- $38
This cardigan was SO incredibly soft and I loved the bright color. It would've looked super cute with the dress, but I had one issue with it: the 3/4 sleeves. I wear cardigans all year long no matter what the temperature outside. If I am going to be inside, I usually have a cardigan with me because I inevitably will be cold. So since I wear them primarily for warmth, I want long sleeves. Plus this cardigan didn't quite fit (it was bulging slightly when I tried to button it (thanks, boobs.) so it went back.
Liverpool Janice Straight Leg Jean (Size 8)-- $78
Honestly, I didn't care for these before I even tried them on. I already have a pair of super dark wash jeans, so I really don't need another pair, plus I didn't care for the cuffs. The fit was off on them too. I'm not exactly sure how to describe it but they seemed too boxy and they made me look short (which I do not need any help with as I am already pretty short). I think it was just where the cuff hit my leg, but they were not flattering. So these went back too.
Pixley Farris Faceted Stone Statement Necklace-- $38
This is one item I deeply regret sending back! I don't wear necklaces very often, so I couldn't bring myself to spend almost $40 on something I wouldn't wear much. However, there have been several days over the last two weeks that I have thought, "Dang, that necklace would look so cute with this outfit." Big, big regret on that one.
Renee C Macklin Leopard Print V-neck Blouse (Medium)--- $38
When I first saw this top in my box, I wasn't too sure about the print. It was a little busy and colorful for my usual taste. But once I put it on, I knew I was keeping it! It is so flattering! I love that it has the waterfall hemline so it's slightly longer in the back than in the front. And it easily transitions from work to a fun night out as you can see below (sorry for the low quality-- these are ones I took with my phone and posted on Instagram but I forgot to take a couple with my good camera). I also like that this top can easily be worn all year by adding a cardigan or jacket.
Because Stitchfix credits your $20 styling fee to anything you keep, I only paid $18 for the Leopard top!
So what did you think of my Fix? Have you tried it yet? If you are thinking about signing up, I would love it if you used my referral link. This is not a sponsored post but if you use the referral link, I do get a credit on my next fix and who doesn't love a little extra discount?!
