Kate Winslet splits from hubby

Kate Winslet has split from her husband, Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes.

The award-winning couple went their separate ways at an unknown point earlier this year after a seven-year marriage.

“Kate and Sam are saddened to announce that they separated earlier this year,” their lawyers’ statement read. “The split is entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement. Both parties are fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children.”

Winslet and Mendes, both Oscar winners (Kate for The Reader and Sam for American Beauty) may have given hints as to their marital discord in separate statements last year.

Alice in Wonderland tops the box office for a second week in a row!

Alice in Wonderland tops box office

Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland continues to top the charts with its weekend box office receipts of approximately $62 million dollars. Cha-ching!

In comparison to its opening weekend, Green Zone didn’t quite fare as well. The Iraqi war action flick starring Matt Damon pulled in approximately $14,534,520. On the heels of The Hurt Locker’s big wins at the Academy Awards, perhaps it was too soon for another war flick?

This isn’t to say the film won’t pick up speed but for its opening week it trailed Johnny Depp’s film, Alice in Wonderland.

It's Pretty Wild! Considering this is E!, the network behind the Kardashians franchise and The Girls Next Door -- it should be no surprise that Pretty Wild's sisterly story is heating up the tube.

Pretty Wild premiered on March 14 and is already causing a sensation. It features three sisters who dive into the Hollywood social scene. Meet Tessa Taylor, 19, Alexis (Lexi) Neiers, 18 and Gabby Neiers, 16. Their mother, Andrea, is a former lingerie model and manages the modeling careers of her two oldest daughters.

David Schwimmer engaged

Friends actor David Schwimmer is engaged. The 43-year-old former Friends star will marry his 24-year-old girlfriend, Zoe Buckman, his rep confirmed.

Schwimmer met photographer Zoe Buckman in 2007, when he was filming his directorial debut Run Fatboy Run (starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost), a romantic comedy set in London. (Schwimmer directed episodes of Friends and Little Britain USA, but this was the first feature film he has helmed.)

The couple is currently shacking up in Chicago while Schwimmer directs Trust with Clive Owen and Catherine Keener.

She’s Out of My League is fresh, funny and downright fun. As you watch the average guy, Kirk (played by Jay Baruchel) catching the eye of party planner Molly (played by Alice Eve), there’s a refreshing role reversal at play.
