Don't wait to exfoliate

Experts advise women begin using exfoliants during the early teenage years, about once or twice a week. Exfoliation is key because it removes the dead cells that cause clogged pores and acne. When choosing an exfoliant, opt for a glycolic, lactic or salicylic acid gel or liquid instead of a scrub. Acids stimulate collagen and reduce pores -- something scrubs can't do.
