Even models wear extensions!
Maybe she's born with it... or maybe even models have hair help! We were backstage at the Dannijo show to get glam tips and chat with Coco Rocha.
If seeing models looking flawless from head to toe makes you feel less than perfect, take note: It's not all natural. That's what we learned backstage at the Dannijo jewelry presentation for New York Fashion Week, where we spoke with mane man Johnny Stuntz, who confessed that all the girls in the show were sporting clip-in extensions in their chic chignons.
"Every one of the girls has extensions in their hair," he told SheKnows before the show as he put the finishing touches on the girls' tresses. "I put it in top knots and low buns to showcase the jewelry."
His weave of choice was LuxHair Wow for its versatility. "Even though this product is synthetic, you can use a straightening iron on it or curl it so it's super easy to use," Johnny explained. He finished off his looks with L'Oreal Elnett hairspray.
Dannijo's gems have been worn by Beyonce, Rihanna and Blake Lively, but their NYFW presentation was hosted by Rashida Jones. Supermodel guest Coco Rocha, who's also hosting Oxygen's The Face with Naomi Campbell and Karolina Kurkova, says Fashion Week is a chance to catch up with all her friends.
"I think sometimes it's like a high school reunion for me, especially with the models," she told SheKnows. "For example, Hilary Rhoda, I just saw. We don't get to see much of each other as models until it comes to Fashion Week, since most of our shoots consist of ourselves and not many other models so that's nice that we get to have a reunion every few months."
Coco says she loves Dannijo bling because it's beautiful yet affordable. "It's still accessible; you can still buy it," she told us. "It's not like 'Oh no, I could never afford that' and they're just so creative." You can shop the line yourself here!
