Dark Shadows- inspired style

Set in the '70s, the Dark Shadow's wardrobe took us all back to a much groovier time. Before you get your hands on a DVD of Dark Shadows, now in stores, SheKnows is here to help you steal the looks of these groovy characters from the past and make them modern.

Angelique Bouchard

She’s sexy, well-dressed and a witch with a 200 year old vengeance. Angelique (Eve Green) has one goal in mind: to seduce Barnabas, her unrequited love. Steal Angelique’s style and look dominant yet tempting at the same time. (Witchcraft not required.)

Angelique Bouchard -- Dark Shadows -- Blouse
Longing for legs

Angelique is not afraid to turn up the heat by showing some skin. This Art Deco skirt from Express ($60) does just that, plus the sequins add glamour, a la Angelique. Make your legs go the extra mile in these Burlison boots ($110) from Aldo. They're sure to bring out your inner wild side. A white blouse is a go-to item for any chic woman, and you can find yours at The Limited for $47. It can be dressed down, or in Angelique’s case, dressed up.

Sequin red dress

Not only is this sequin dress ($338) daring, but it's blood red. Not to mention it will keep you warm on those crisper nights when all eyes will be on you.

The dark purple is a beautiful color, and I think it would really make a statement this winter and fall season. I love when movies provide inspiration for fashion - great choice with this one!
