The Boho Chic Pull-Back

  1. Prep your hair by curling it in loose waves.
  2. Part in the middle and French braid each side back to your ear.
  3. Once you reach the ear, continue to braid the piece normally and secure the sides together in the back with a bobby pin.
  4. Bring the rest of your hair forward and scrunch the braids to loosen them up.
Simple side-twist

The Simple Side Twist

  1. Begin at step 4 of the Boho Chic Pull-Back and begin twisting your hair from one side to the other.
  2. Continue adding pieces until you’ve twisted it all the way to the other side and formed a ridge.
  3. Secure tightly with a bobby pin.
The Romantic Braided Up Do

The Romantic Braided Updo

  1. Start at the last step of the Boho Chic Pull-Back and part the hair that’s down into two sections.
  2. Braid each section and secure with an elastic band.
  3. Bring each braid up in a circular motion (Princess Leia style), and secure once above the ear with a bobby pin and once at the base of the braid.
  4. Loosen the braids around the front of your face and remove a few wispy pieces.

I have never been a big fan of Jessica Alba but she looks great in this picture. Maybe its the braid getting all her hair off her face and showing of her cheek bones. I might just love this summer make up, Orange lips and tan skin.

I love braids. My hair is still in the medium length range so there isn't a whole lot I can do yet. Any suggestions on how to incorporate braids into more medium length hair styles?

Love braids! If my hair was long enough I'd totally rock this style. :)

Im not sure I like this historic Egyptian look. I think I prefer the cascading braids that are loser and more romantic/hippy. What do you think?

I can't wait until my hair is long enough to do braids again! Looking at all these gorgeous styles makes me wish it would grow faster. Not that I didn't loooove my undercut when I had it, I do miss having cute beachy, hippie braided hair. Patience!

Love braids for summer! They are super easy, keep hair out of your face, keep you cool and look so chic! These are great pictures and how to's! Thanks! I will keep these styles in mind next time I go for the classic braid.

The braid is my favorite thing this summer! I love how it looks young and chic! I like Jose's tip at the end that the messier the better. I think that is so true with a long side braid!
