The Amazing Spider-Man hits theaters nationwide today! To celebrate, we sat down with one of the stars, Embeth Davidtz, who plays Peter Parker's mom Mary Parker, to uncover her beauty tips, behind-the-scenes secrets and what she thinks about Emma Stone's style.

Davidtz: By Terry Rose Lip Balm, Shu Uemura Lash Curlers, Kevyn Aucoin Mascara, Epicuren Skin Serum and Tom Ford Eyeliner.

SheKnows: Who are your favorite red carpet designers?

Davidtz: Roland Mouret, Celine and Givenchy.

SheKnows: What do you think are the five pieces every woman should have in her closet?

Davidtz: Great skinny black pants, a white silk shirt, a cocktail dress in either black or cream, a fabulous weightless cashmere wrap in a neutral color and a pair of very high black stilettos.

SheKnows: How does your character Mary Parker's style differ from your own style?

Davidtz: She has longer hair and dresses a little more feminine than I do. I am a mom as well, but I am usually in baggy jeans and ballet flats with a big bag that has room for all my kids' paraphernalia!

SheKnows: What did you enjoy most about working on The Amazing Spider-Man?

Davidtz: I loved our director Marc Webb. I also so enjoyed working on something that I knew my son would be obsessed with when he saw it. I have enormous power in our household right now because I am the young Spider-Man's mother!
