Super good for you, edamame are a low-calorie, nutrient-dense food that make for a great snack in between meals. So what is it? Edamame are green soybeans that pack a nutritional punch, and a half-cup serving of shelled edamame is only 120 calories. Not only is it high in fiber, but it’s also packed with protein (around 11 grams), which is a combination that will help keep your blood sugar and hunger in check. Try seasoning your edamame with just a little sea salt and sesame oil and enjoy!

Greek yogurt and honey

Greek yogurt and honey is a simple and satisfying snack that is perfect for summer. There are no empty calories here! Greek yogurt is higher in protein and is lower in carbs than most regular yogurts. It’s also thick, creamy and delicious when served with a drizzle of honey, which has its own healthy benefits. Not only does honey help to boost energy, but locally harvested honey may also help build immunity -- helping you to avoid dreaded seasonal allergies. Top your Greek yogurt and honey with a few fresh summer berries and feel confident that you are providing your body with the fuel it needs to enjoy every moment of summertime fun.

Jill, i think you and i are on the same bat channel soeteimms. I had a weekend of meat and dairy and wine and i am paying for it now. but today i am back on track. it's crazy how fast i felt like doo-doo though. just proves my point about what that food does to your system. as for making people understand it's a hard thing. i have a tough time b/c while i have done TONS of reading and have lots of personal experience to back it up, i have a hard time dishing out facts to people. most people i just smile and say that i feel better than ever and leave it at that. i am finding that as i look and feel better and radiate better health, more and more people are becoming intrigued enough to do some reading on their own. the best thing you can do is lead by example. you will not change anyone's minds if they don't want to be changed!
