Christian Louboutin partners with Disney to design Cinderella slipper

A magical fashion collaboration!

We think it's safe to say that Christian Louboutin is the fairy godfather to women around the world. And now, the world renowned designer is combining grown women's fantasies -- gorgeous shoes -- with the fairy tale they all fell in love with as a child.

Yep, you heard that right, ladies! Christian Louboutin is designing the Cinderella slipper we all dreamed about as little girls. The French designer has partnered with Disney to bring Cinderella to life with a fashion forward twist. Louboutin will design a "Cinderella" slipper and bring his own fashion sense to the shoe behind the classical fairy tale.

So what sparked this fashionable collaboration? Well, the announcement is perfectly timed with Louboutin’s 20th anniversary retrospective exhibition at the London Design Museum and the global release of Disney’s Cinderella Diamond Edition on Blu-ray this fall.

Louboutin is understandably excited about the collaboration: “Isn’t it everyone’s dream, to once in your life [be a] part of a fairy tale? Walt Disney Studios gave me a wonderful opportunity to live this magical moment. I have been so lucky to have crossed paths with Cinderella, an icon who is so emblematic to the shoe world as well as the dream world.”
