Film's Stylist Shares Fashionable Details!

We can't wait to check out Jason Segel and Emily Blunt's chemistry in The Five Year Engagement (it hit theaters Friday!) and we're especially excited to drool over the fun fashions. We chatted with the film's stylist, Leesa Evans, to get the scoop on the fashions behind the film and are sharing all the stylish secrets.

The proposal

"For Emily, I really wanted to set the tone that she's a girl that wears a mix of vintage and modern clothes to create her own style. I also wanted to incorporate something a bit sparkly since it is New Year's Eve [in the scene] and I knew it was going to be the proposal scene."

"For Jason, I was trying to always show that man-boy place in a guy's life where he's grown up but he's still got boyish charm. Jason being in a blazer and tennis shoes seemed like a good contrast for that idea."

What are they wearing?

Emily: Vintage jacket, Valentino skirt, Valentino silk top, Kate Spade shoes.

Jason: Michael Kors jacket, Levi's jeans.

Couples time

"I love that vintage red blazer because it's sort of her signature color in the movie. And it shows again her quirky sense of vintage and modern style, which I love."

"For Jason, I loved the way he looked in the striped sweater because again, I was trying to keep that man-boy contrast."

What are they wearing?

Emily: Vintage jacket, Stella McCartney top, JBrand jeans, MANNIN necklace.

Jason: Vince sweater, Levi's jeans.

Sisterly love

"For Emily, in this scene, she really was sort of feeling down on her luck not having found a job yet, so she's just kind of casual at home in sweats. For Alison I was just playing with her quirky sense of fashion combined with her British heritage."

What are they wearing?

Alison: Topshop striped dress, Sonia Rykiel tights, Smythe jacket, Forever 21 hat.

Emily: H&M T-Shirt, Monroe sweatpants and sweatshirt.

Meeting Alison

"That's the first time you meet her, and Nick (the director) really wanted to play up our 'adorable disaster' concept of her character. In that, she's utterly adorable but yet is somewhat of a disaster in life."
