"OPI is so excited to work with the New York City Ballet," said Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. "The dancers, choreography and costumes provided a wealth of inspiration for a range of soft, feminine hues. The beige, pink and white lacquers bring to mind classic ballet slippers, tutus and leotards, while the sheer lilac and gray add muted color to ballet's traditional pink."
The new collection will feature five sheer nail polishes and a silver sparkly lacquer. So what are they called and how do the shades measure up? Let's find out!
There's Barre My Soul, a subtle sheer beige; You Callin' Me a Lyre?, a precious pink; Don't Touch My Tutu!, a wispy and milky white; Care to Danse?, a gorgeous pastel lilac; My Pointe Exactly, an on-trend sheer gray; and Pirouette My Whistle, a dazzling silver sparkle!
We got a sneak peek at the OPI collection and are really digging the soft, polished feel of the shades. They're all perfect for spring and are muted enough that they'd work for a business atmosphere. Our faves? Care to Danse? is the prettiest of the bunch -- we're obsessed with spring pastels, after all! -- and Pirouette My Whistle is the fun shade in the collection! We love its sparkly feel.
Want to check these nail colors out for yourself? The New York City Ballet by OPI shades will be available April 2012 for about $9 each at professional salons, JCPenney and ULTA!
