Kenley's fun and flirty Chile-inspired party dress. The challenge was to design a look based on the designer's choice of flag. While Kenley didn't win this challenge, she totally nailed Chile's red, white and blue color scheme with this amusing ruffle and polka dot ensemble.
Fashion tip: When wearing polka dots, the biggest style tip to remember is to not wear large Minnie Mouse-inspired prints. You don't want to look like a little girl. The easiest way to achieve the perfect '50s-inspired look is to choose a neutral color (such as navy or black) with white polka dots. This will make you look instantly sophisticated. If you start wearing vibrant colors like turquoise or pink with the white dots, you might as well grab a lollipop because you'll look like a little girl.
Also, when mixing polka dots with any other print like Kenley did with her top and bottom, you absolutely need to make sure the other print is very subtle and not overpowering. If both prints are too bold, you will totally clash. I suggest a neutral polka dot top with a soft, lightly striped bottom.
