Last week, the first ever Strut: The Fashionable Mom Show premiered as part of New York Fashion Week at Lincoln Center. The show was hosted by Iman, with a collection of designers who are realistic for today's moms. Targeting the modern mom, the show provided ideas on how to transform an outfit from "mommy" to "meetings" to "moms' night out."
Here are some of the many fabulous outfits seen on the catwalk of Strut. The models were all a part of the mommy blogger network and juggle kids, work, husbands, home and social lives. Another bonus about this show? While most looks seen on the runway at New York Fashion Week won't be seen in stores for another six months, these looks can be found right now in stores such as TJ Maxx, Marshalls and Macy's.
Supermodel Iman (a mom of two girls) hosted the ground-breaking runway show:
Denise Alberts, co-owner of The Moms, is wearing pants from Bloomingdale's and a chic top from International Concepts at Macy's that is perfect for moms' night out.
Melissa Gernstein (with her daughter), co-owner of The Moms, is in a look from Tory Burch that can easily go from work to play date to happy hour!
Jaime Harlock is wearing a Ramy Brook one shoulder mini dress in mint, one of this spring's hottest hues. What husband wouldn't want to see this on date night?
Audrey McClelland (of Mom Generations) is in a floral patterned tunic dress from TJ Maxx that can flow from work to a PTA meeting with ease.
