Our favorite former The Hills and The City star, Whitney Port, took a break from the reality TV cameras as she sent feminine and cool designs down the runway for her fashion line Whitney Eve at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
Whitney Port knows a thing or two about dressing girly with colorful prints, flowy dresses and lightweight blazers. Let's be real -- it's basically all we see this California girl wear in her street style photos. This season, she took her personal style and incorporated touches of disco glamour and hippie-chic pieces in her designs. Basically, you'll want to wear all of these pieces this fall. So wearable!
What we saw
This full-on feminine fashion collection had everything from orange striped mohair-inspired sweaters and velvet pants with firework detailing to lightweight tapered printed suits and sequin-accented sweaters. The majority of these pieces could easily transition from work to play because they were just sophisticated enough for the office, but still fun enough for happy hour afterwards.
Our favorite piece
The prints! Whitney Port is the expert in creating wildly vibrant prints. She paid strong attention to detail with every piece in this collection, whether it is the printed pants or the polka dot sequins on some of the dresses and skirts.
What you'll see in street style
You will continue to see major prints this fall, which is usually more of a spring trend. Again, while dark neutrals will continue to be prominent on the streets, you'll want to make sure you're the girl that has the burst of color or a fabulous print to really stand out. For example, try the Whitney Eve printed leggings! Pair them with an oversize black sweater and you'll be the office envy.
