Date Night Hair
Valentine’s Day is tomorrow and if you are like most moms, you are going to be super busy all day. Hopefully you get to meet your hubby for a date or perhaps you are even doing a family “date night” at home to celebrate the holiday of love. Regardless of what you do, you still want to feel pretty and feminine that night. Here are some easy, flirty hairstyles to try to get you ready for the big Valentine's Day!
Tousled and sexy
Men love touchable, accessible hair and nothing is easier than tousled waves. For this hairstyle, simply wash your hair in the morning, towel dry and liberally spray a "beach spray" all over. Scrunch your hair and let air dry. At the end of the day when you are getting ready for your date, lightly respray to refresh your hair. If you don't have time to wash your hair, put water in a spray bottle and mist your hair; follow with the beach spray. Using a diffuser, scrunch your hair until dry. One to try is Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Texturizing Sea Spray ($20, paulmitchell.com).

This is a great hairstyle if you have been at work all day and need to get ready in a flash. This hairstyle also works best on hair that has not been washed for a day or two so it's perfect for moms. First, with a brush or comb, "back comb" three or four sections around the crown of your head to add volume. Next, part your hair with a deep side part and pull back loosely just around your ears and in a bun and secure with a hair band. Your final step is to pull a few tendrils around your face and neck to add some romance to your look.

Shiny and straight
Men love shiny and sleek hair because it is a sign of youth and vitality. Here's how a busy mom can create this hairstyle: First, wash and condition your hair with a smoothing shampoo and conditioner such as Nuance Salma Hayek Quinoa Smooth and Shine Shampoo and Conditioner, (each $8, CVS.com). Next, apply a dime size of a conditioning shine serum, such as Alterna Bamboo Silk Shine Brilliance Cream ($22, Sephora.com). Next, blow dry your hair straight using a paddle brush. Follow with a ceramic flat iron to smooth any flyaways. If you don't have time to shampoo your hair, take a dollop of your shine cream and rub through hair. Work your paddle brush throughout your hair to comb out any tangles and to distribute the product. Follow with your flat iron and finish the look with shine spray.

For this flirty and fabulous hairstyle, part your hair in the middle. Next, using a 1- or 1-1/2-inch iron, curl hair in 1-inch sections around your hair. The key is to start below the crown and direct the curls away from your face. Next, flip your head upside down and shake out the curls for loose, sexy hair. Finish with a light hairspray to ensure touchable, not frozen hair. One to try is Moroccan Oil Luminous Hairspray ($21, BeautyCollection.com).
