My favorite look of the night?
Mondo's flowy, yet sophisticated orange and green masterpiece. The gown completely embodied the "gelato flavor" challenge. Doesn't this scream cantaloupe?
This gown really was one of the only designs that moved and wafted down the runway. Plus, the vibrant color was so luscious that it made you want to lick the TV like a spoonful of gelato. My favorite part? The bright orange color. Tangerine truly is the color of spring 2012 as we saw on the runways from designers like Phillip Lim and Michael Kors — the perfect choice as we prepare ourselves for spring.
Fashion Tip: I'm going to be honest with you: A floor-length orange dress with bright green sleeves is not the most practical choice for an everyday girl. I decided to base a girly spring look off of Mondo's design but in a less daring way.
When wearing orange, you want to make sure the shade is not so bright where it overpowers your entire look. If you have pale skin, try something not as bright. If you have darker skin, it's OK to pick something a little more tangerine. But most importantly, no matter your style, definitely add some sort of orange garment or accessory into your closet this season.
