Keep these beauty products on hand!

It’s a well-known fact that moms are always on the go, from work to school to soccer, ballet, piano, play dates, you name it! With all of that running around, moms rarely have time to stop and refresh their makeup or style. To keep you feeling fabulous all day long, here are your essential beauty products for “The Mommy Taxi.”

Essential mom beauty products

Create your "makeup kit"

Items to include are mascara, tinted moisturizer with an SPF of at least 20 and a stick foundation that can be used as a concealer as well (think multipurpose products). One foundation stick to try is the Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick (Bobbibrown.com, $41). Additional beauty products in your kit should be lip gloss, and a brown eye shadow that you can use to fill in your eyebrows or as a shadow or eyeliner. You can keep everything in a makeup bag or a simple plastic zip lock bag.

Create your "refresh kit"

In a separate zip lock or makeup bag, include deodorant, baby wipes (can be used to remove makeup or to clean under your arms!), hand cream (one to try is L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream, $26, or Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream, $4) and cotton swabs (great for applying your makeup or touching up). You should also keep eye drops (both plain tears or redness removers; you never know when you will have dry eyes!) and toothpaste and a toothbrush. The final item in your refresh kit should be petroleum jelly. Petroleum jelly is an all-around beauty product; you can use it to soothe your lips, tame your eyebrows or hair or even on your eyelashes for instant shine.

Create your "hair kit"

This should include hairspray, a brush, hair bands and a shine serum, such as John Frieda Collection Original Frizz-Ease (Drugstore.com, $8).

Create your "fashion kit"

To be ready for any style occasion, keep a pair of black high heel pumps (try a pair that has a stacked or platform heel for comfort). Black pumps go with jeans or dresses and can make you look instantly dressed up. Next, keep a pair of flats to go. These are perfect for those times you are already in heels, have been going all day and your feet hurt! Try a pair such as Dr. Scholls Fast Flats (Target.com, $10).

Finally, your other must-have item is a pair of stylish jeans (buy an inexpensive pair at a store like H&M or Forever 21, choose a skinny pair or flare style, whatever your preference), simple black or white button down shirt and a black cardigan. You can use the sweater if you are ever cold, the jeans should be versatile enough to go from day to night and the button down shirt can be worn over a tank top or be on hand in case your precious bundle of joy spills ice cream on you or smears mud on you at the park.
