Versace for H&M is launching in just over a week! We haven't been so excited since, well, a month ago, when the Missoni for Target release made us lose our minds. Luckily, all signs show that this launch will be a lot more civil – and dare we say more fashionable? -- than the Target one.
"All these people reacting to what was in the archives -- Gaga, the people in London, the young kids in the office -- they're 25 years old, they're obsessed... But they don't know the whole story. So we did a best of Versace for H&M, a greatest hits, from the beginning until now," Donatella Versace told Style.com.
Versace also said that the collection will be "dominated by dresses featuring studded leather, silk and colorful print, with accessories including high heels and costume jewelry." We've already picked out our favorite pieces, as have several celebrities.
One of those celebrity fans – Nicki Minaj – will be one of the performers at the official launch of the collection in New York City, as will iconic singer Prince.
"I am so pleased to share with so many the excitement of this collaboration with H&M," Versace told Women's Wear Daily. "To have my friend, the great, the amazing, the one and only Prince, and the extraordinary Nicki Minaj both perform at the event, will create exactly the feeling of joy and glamour I want this partnership to express."
Minaj makes no secret of her love for all things from the Italian design house. She's worn Versace in her music videos – including Super Bass. Actress Emma Roberts is also a fan of the upcoming collection.
"Saw some of the Versace for H&M stuff today. Amazing!!! Love love everything! Fab colors and patterns," the Scream 4 actress tweeted Friday.
Other fans have weighed in too.
"Imma be fly as [expletive] off the versace for H&M," one fan tweeted. That's exactly what Donatella Versace wants.
"I can't wait to see how H&M's wide audience will make these pieces their own," she said.
