Celebrity Mom Style
Celebrity moms can be a great source of motivation for the rest of us mortal moms because they seem to look perfect and bounce back to their fashionable, beautiful selves within moments of giving birth. Of course, they do have stylists, makeup artists, personal trainers, nannies... basically an army to help them, especially for the red carpet and other public appearances. But what is their celebrity mom style like when they are with their kids? To give you some style inspiration for toting your tots, here are some of our favorite celeb moms and their “mommy style!”
Get Jessica's look
Jessica Alba always looks amazing, whether she's pregnant or has just given birth! To get her fall style, try pairing simple black leggings with a white button down shirt and a so-in-style black or navy boyfriend blazer. Pair with embellished flats and a cozy scarf for the perfect school drop off and pick-up outfit!
To get Alba's versatile beauty style, keep hair just past the shoulder (perfect length to wear down or in a ponytail), and keep makeup fresh by using neutrals and sheer colors such as cream blush. One to try is Laura Geller Air Whipped Blush (LauraGeller.com, $27).
Next, tame your brows using an old toothbrush or mascara wand and add a coat of dark brown mascara. Finish by filling in lips with a nude pencil such as Too Faced Perfect Lips Universal Liner (Toofaced.com, $19) and a sheer pink lip gloss. One to try is Stila Silk Shimmer Gloss in Kitten (Ulta.com, $22).
Get Halle's look
Halle Berry rocks street-smart and body hugging outfits with ease, and this look is perfect to run around in and play with your kids. To get her style, pair distressed black or gray biker jeans with a form fitting tank top (remember to do your sit ups and pushups before!), black ankle boots (with a wedge or stacked heel for comfort) and aviator sunglasses. For those crisp fall days, top with a long, flowing sweater. Finally, add a statement necklace (try one of the hot "bib necklaces" for a bold, yet feminine touch). Halle's hair and makeup are also no-nonsense. Create fun, yet sexy hair by running a dime size of texturizing cream through hair, such as Got2b Defiant Define + Shine Pomade (Drugstore.com, $6).
Get J.Lo's look
Jennifer Lopez actually has two "mommy-style" looks! The first look is when she is in full mom mode. To get her diva-at-the-park style, slick back hair into a bun (try using a deep conditioner or treatment oil for the added beauty benefit), wear large crystal stud earrings and oversized black sunglasses. Your uniform -- a flowing long skirt or dress paired with flat sandals. For fall, try one of the new maxi dresses paired with tights and riding boots. J Lo's second mommy style is all glam! For this look, bigger is better for everything. Start with styling your hair big and voluminous and add glamour to your look with false eyelashes. If false lashes are too daunting, try one of the new mascara enhancers, such as HourGlass Film Noir Lash Lacquer (HourglassCosmetics.com, $28). Next, pair a haute jumpsuit or form fitting cap sleeve dress (in a solid color) with high heel gladiator sandals. Accessorize with large hoop earrings and a cute toddler!
Get Jennifer's look
Jennifer Garner is probably one of the most down-to-earth celebrity moms out there! Her style is conservative and all-American and one that most women can relate to. With two children and a baby on the way, she is one of the busiest women in Hollywood. To get her no-fuss style, start with clean, fresh makeup and simple, shoulder length hair. Next, pair skinny jeans (or skinny maternity jeans if you are pregnant) with a form-fitting T-shirt to show off your fabulous bump. Finish the look with black or brown riding boots and you are ready to go! Jennifer also knows how to show off her latest addition by layering a classic cardigan (in a bright color) over a fitted white T-shirt and jean skirt.
