Orange style picks in honor of Halloween

Halloween is around the corner, which means we're about to see a whole lot of orange. But we're not talking about pumpkins and candy corn; we're more interested in stylish picks in Halloween's patron shade. Read on for some fashionable ways to pay homage to the spookiest day of the year.

Skinny jeans

Before you balk at the thought of orange denim, give this sleek, skinny Ksubi pair a chance (net-a-porter.com, $170). The bright tangerine-hued stretch jeans would look great with a pastel or soft gray top to tone down the eye-popping shot of orange. Finish off the look with this season's footwear favorite — wedge ankle boots.

Cutout cuff

While not known for its elegance, orange can be just as sophisticated a hue as any color out there. Case in point — this gorgeous orange oval cutout lizard bracelet (Max & Chloe, $150). Gold plate-framed cutouts look perfectly polished amidst the brightly-colored band.

Boatneck tee

Layering is key as the temperature drops, and you can't go wrong with a simple cotton boatneck tee like this fitted long sleeve style (J. Crew, $32.50). We love the creamy orange-peach hybrid of this papaya shade and suggest wearing it under a cozy cardigan or structured blazer for an added splash of color and warmth.

Tartan travel bag

While not exclusively orange, we still felt the need to feature this chic wool travel bag in gray, black and orange tartan (La Garconne, $290). Whether you're going on vacation or away for a weekend jaunt to the country, this stylish bag is perfect for holding your toiletries or other small but essential items.

Pencil skirt

Just try not to develop a serious crush on this stylishly structured burnt orange wool pencil skirt (Anthropologie, $118). Pair this lively skirt with stacked heel lace up boots and a ruffle front blouse for an on-trend office look. Orange never looked so good.

Wedge boot

Boots are one of the best things about fall and we're already obsessing over more than a few pairs. The most recent addition to our must-have list includes this pair of orange leather and wood wedge lace up boots (Urban Outfitters, $89). These sleek, round toe boots are perfect for pairing with dark skinny denim and a cropped knit shirt for easy elegance.

Poncho

Kill the chill this fall and winter with a cozy cable knit poncho in a spicy shade of orange (piperlime.com, $128). We love the loose cowl neck, warm hue and versatility of this comfortably chic outer layer. Wear over everything from jeans to tailored trousers to skirts this season.
