Lace-up boots we love

Get Laced Up

We can't help but love lace-up boots. They're cute, comfortable and versatile, meaning we can wear them everywhere from the office to a dinner date to an afternoon of shopping. With so many different styles of lace-up boots to choose from, we thought we'd share some of our favorites so far this season.

Fashionable flat

While we love our heels, we also think it's pretty important to have a few solid pairs of flats for versatility and comfort. We love the simplicity of these flat lace-up ankle boots (Zara, $50) perfect for pairing with skinny jeans or shorter skirts and tights.

True blue

Brighten up any outfit when you step out in a pair of these bold blue Jeffrey Campbell lace-up boots with distressed laces over a long panel of fringe (Lori's Shoes, $174). The cobalt blue suede boots have a vintage feel, a chunky stacked heel and a narrow rounded toe that gives them a casual, cool elegance.

Cute cuff

It didn't take us long to fall in love with these Elizabeth and James lace-up wedge boots with a cute cuff (Neiman Marcus, $375). The crocodile embossed leather plays right into this season's reptilian fascination and we love the casual comfort they exude.

Leather lace-ups

Add a more rugged layer to your look with these oiled-leather lace-ups with a work boot-inspired design (Anthropologie, $153). We love the worn-in feel of these masculine brown boots, but don't let the less-than-feminine feel throw you off – these boots have a sexy stacked heel and a sleek silhouette to balance out their rougher side.

Long & lean

Ankle boots may be a style staple this fall (and we do love them), but there's still room for taller boots like this distressed leather pair (Urban Outfitters, $300). These get-noticed boots are the perfect match to add some edge to a mod mini or to wear over a pair of leggings paired with a short sweater dress.

It's a cinch

We were immediately intrigued by these chic lace-up boots featuring a fitted upper that cinches to create a tailored silhouette (J. Crew, $298). The soft Italian leather boots come in warm sienna or black, though we're partial to the creamy, caramel hue of the former.

Talking taupe

It's not every day a boot this eye-catching comes along, but when it does, we suggest snatching it up. Show off your stylish side in a pair of taupe patent vegan leather lace-ups (Mod Cloth, $70). We love the glossy sheen, stacked heel and rounded toe, not to mention how cute they'll look with dark skinny jeans and a brightly-hued off-the-shoulder sweater.
