Emmy Winner And Stunner
The 2011 Emmys aired last night and the stunning star of The Good Wife, Julianna Margulies, took home the trophy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. She was also rocking some stunning makeup. We've got some tips for you if you want to copy her Emmy look.
No one can deny that Julianna Margulies is stunning. But her Emmy makeup was truly gorgeous. It totally flattered her pale skin (unlike that dress...a bit pale for her). If you want to recreate her look on your own face, here's what you do.
We're loving the shade Margulies chose. While it was a red, it had enough brown to keep it subtle. You can get pretty close with Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip Color in Raisin Berry. It's also a tooth flattering shade.
Margulies was wearing a soft peach blush. This year, everyone kept the blush pretty subtle, so a lighter shade is the way to go. They've also mostly kept the color at the top of the cheekbones and off the apples. We'd recommend sweeping on a bit of Nars Orgasm...it's the most popular shade.
Margulies has beautiful eyes to begin with, but last night they were enhanced with a deep brown shadow and liner. We suggest Stila's In the Light palette. Use the lightest color on the brow bone (and don't forget to groom those brows...another big trend on the red carpet), and blend the darker brown on the lid and in the crease. The set comes with a great brown liner, so you've got that covered. Finish with a lot of mascara.
