Paper Crown's A Perfect Fit For Fall
Lauren Conrad's third line, Paper Crown, made it's big debut Thursday night at Nordstom at The Grove for Fashion's Night Out.
"Paper Crown is something I've done on my own which has been really fun," Lauren told SheKnows. "Quality was a really big focus. We wanted to do really beautiful fabrics, really focus on getting a beautiful fit so the pieces are classic and timeless and can be worn through the season."
Lauren says the line reflects her personal style, which she describes as a polished, but breezy, California-feel.
"I like to dress girly," says Lauren. "I really love that free flowing romantic look. I was also definitely more casual coming from a beach town. I had to have my flip flops torn away from me."
Most of the pieces though fit in perfectly with this season's hot trends too.
"I really like the camels, mustards, and nudes in the traditional pieces," said Lauren. "And leather was big."
But L.C. says when it comes to dressing for fall, you don't need a whole new wardrobe.
"I'm all about keeping it year round," Lauren told SheKnows. "Flare denim, that was really big during summer, and is going to carry over into fall. Layering is so big in fall. I think you're just working pieces in, whether it's a lightweight blouse with a blazer over. I also wear any sort of short or skirt and just add tights."
And as for the age old "no white after labor day rule," L.C. says she doesn't go by the book.
"That's a rule I never follow," says Lauren. "I always wear white after labor day. I think I wore it yesterday. White in winter is so beautiful to me."
