Jeans For Apple Shapes

Apple-shaped women usually have a proportional upper and lower body, but carry extra weight in the tummy area. To slim down your middle, you need to pick the right pair of jeans. Check out these fall style suggestions to find the best pair of jeans for your apple-shaped figure.

If you have an apple shape, you tend to gain weight in your midsection. When buying clothes, you want to choose pieces that draw the focus away from your stomach and put it on your slim legs instead.

Bootcut jeans

Bootcut jeans

High-waisted jeans are the opposite of what you want -- they add bulk right where you don't need it. You also don't want a low-rise jean that will create a "muffin top." Instead, pick a pair of mid-rise jeans in a bootcut silhouette. Look for jeans that feature a built-in hidden tummy panel to help disguise any bulges.

Flared jeans

Flared denim is a hot right now and a fabulous option for apple-shaped ladies. However, if you're short, don't wear flares that are too wide -- they'll make you look even shorter.

Styles to avoid

Avoid pleated trouser jeans. Though they are on-trend right now, they add bulk and bulges in your tummy area. If you like the look of leggings, grab a pair of jeggings. Jean leggings highlight slim legs when partnered with a hip-length top to hide your midsection.

I am an apple, well more a box shape on top really as I have not got an curves, my worst look are skinny jeans and leggins as I have very thin legs and a flat bottom, my top half is almost a 20 where as below the waist a 14, so leggins and a tunic make me look like Henry 8th or as if a thin body was glued onto a fat body. I have too much of a masculine shape to suit jeans at all.
