2000s
Our most recent decade can be considered the decade of the revival. Fashion ideas come from every era and all are readily accepted by the fashion police. Full skirts from the fifties, mod lace dresses, hippie skirts, bellbottoms, shoulder pads, grunge, platforms…it's all coming back. Modern twists on old styles are also big. Color blocking is really hot right now and is an update on sixties mod and the brightly colored, mix and match fashion of the eighties. Leggings worn as pants? You can thank the eighties and nineties for that one. Pretty much anything goes now in fashion, and what's not to love about that?
