1960s Fashion

1960s

The sixties changed women's fashion forever with the invention of the mini skirt in 1964. Mod was in and featured these short skirts in bright colors and patterns. Toward the latter half of the decade, the "angel dress" came into style with its short, flared skirt and wide trumpet long sleeves. Psychedelic prints tend to look cheesy now, but bold colors always make bold statements. If you're dying to go mod, pick one piece to pair with modern accessories for a look that's fashion forward and not costumey.
