No royal wedding outfit is complete without an amazing hat, and everyone from Victoria Beckham to Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice were spotted with amazing and gravity-defying hats. Check out our picks of the weirdest, wackiest and spectacular hats worn at the royal wedding.
Fabulous hats were all the rage at the royal wedding! In British society, a hat is the fashion accessory that shows the importance of a special event. Choosing the right hat, however, does not have to be all serious -- in fact it's the perfect opportunity to have a little fun.
"For most people, the hat is quite serious and frivolous at the same time," Daily Telegraph director Hilary Alexander tells ABC news. "It completes the outfit and it's a finishing touch."
Even though we are calling them hats, some are actually more like hair clips that are called "fascinators" -- and fascinating they are!
Check out our pick of the hautest and hottest royal wedding hats and fascinators!
Princess Beatrice & Princess Eugenie's hats
Are they wearing a sculpture -- or hats? Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie made a joint appearance in these ridiculous, yet totally fab Philip Treacy hats. These amazing hats (which seem to defy gravity) coordinate perfectly with their royal wedding attire. Princess Eugenie wore a Vivienne Westwood dress to go along with her flower and feather hat, while Beatrice chose a Valentino couture dress to go along with her elaborate beige hat.
Victoria Beckham's hat
Pregnant Posh chose a Philip Treacy navy blue hat with a broach and curly accents shooting off in both directions. She was wearing a blue dress from own Victoria Beckham collection. This dress hugged her figure and featured a slash boat-neck and draped back.
Tara Palmer-Tomkinson's hat
British socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson wowed crowds in this bright blue structured off-the-shoulder dress and pointy rose hat. We have a feeling Lady Gaga would love this look!
The Queen's hat
The most famous hat-wearer of them all -- The Queen! She wore an Angela Kelly yellow hat accented with handmade silk flowers that perfectly coordinated her two-piece outfit, also designed by Angela Kelly.
